STRAPATZ GLOB

Sabina Grubbeson

Strapatz is a series of lamps, all with brass tubes. The original with “naked” light bulbs is available in two sizes. Other models for ceilings, tables and floors have globes on each arm.

The design takes charge, is visible and illuminates, lively and symmetrical, playful and classic, all at the same time.

The designer’s simple design is self-evident and meticulous with a personal expression.

A century-old tradition of craftsmanship in Sweden has made the manufacturing possible. Konsthantverk’s unique surface treatments also make other models easy to match with each other.

Strapatz is designed by Sabina Grubbeson.

“I want to create a form that touches, that says something. The rawness and the “noble” in combination. You should see and feel the construction in what I do. Konsthantverk is so close to me… I am touched. It is closeness in every sense; made up close, close to people… down to earth.”

Sabina Grubbeson designs to fill a void, to create products that are not yet on the market. From her design studio in Varberg, she has created lighting classics. Her ideas are honed and challenged, where design meets manufacturing. New products arise not just to create, but to solve concrete problems, always in harmony with a feeling for the material.
